With studies showing that patients trust their personal physicians, allergists are in a position to discuss the risk and benefits of getting vaccinated with their patients, especially considering the unique expertise of the allergist in evaluating allergic reactions to vaccines, as well as in recognizing and treating anaphylaxis.
