The Northwest Allergy Forum is a CME educational meeting jointly provided by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Washington and Oregon Societies of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. The program is a two-day event with speakers covering topics such as asthma, immunotherapy and drug allergy.

Online registration will close on Friday, September 21, at 8:00 am.

Registration for walk-ins will begin at 7:00 am on September 29 at the W Hotel Bellevue.

Walk-in registration will incur a $25 late fee.


Credit Claiming

Credit claiming will open no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 and will remain open through June 30, 2019. Requests to claim credit on or after July 1, 2019 will be subject to an administrative fee.

Allergists, Fellows-in-training, physicians in related specialties, as well as Interns, Residents, Medical Students and Nurses

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Develop a differential diagnosis of Mast Cell Activation Syndromes
  • Describe the distinction between idiopathic anaphylaxis and mast cell activation syndromes
  • Recognize the treatment modalities for mast cell activation disorders
  • Discuss new treatments for atopic dermatitis
  • Identify dermatological conditions that allergists encounter in practice
  • Describe the evolution of subcutaneous immunotherapy through review of the literature
  • Describe the risks and benefits of sublingual immunotherapy
  • Describe the differences between the Canadian and United States health systems and their impacts on patients
