The Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology will provide a half day symposium to our members consisting of allergists, immunologists, dermatologists, and primary care physicians who treat patients with allergic and immunologic disorders. There will be 2 interesting case presentations given by allergy/immunology fellows-in-training from Rush Medical College and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, as well as a lecture given in PowerPoint presentation followed by questions and answers.

Interesting case #1 will be presented by Northwestern and is entitled "7 month old girl with recurrent infections and neutropenia."

Interesting case #2 will be presented by Rush and is entitled "67 year old with intermittent cough and incidental findings on CT scan."

These cases are first presented by a fellow-in-training from one institution and then discussed by a trainee from the other institution. The discussion includes recapping the presentation, pertinent and distinguishing features, generating a differential diagnosis and showing a final diagnosis. Thereafter, there is a review of the diagnosis and treatment.

Then there will be a 45 minute lecture on an overhead projection with audience participation followed by questions and answers on the topic of "Sensory Neuropathic Cough."
