Needs Assessment
Conflict in a medical practice can negatively impact the quality of care for patients and the quality of life for physicians and staff. This session is designed to address three types of conflict common in an allergy practice – patient conflict, staff conflict, and partner/colleague conflict and provide strategies for effectively dealing with all three.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • List three strategies that can be used to improve the management of patient complaints and enhance the customer service process in the allergy practice
  • Describe the generational differences in the practice workforce and understand how those differences can lead to conflict
  • List three strategies that can be utilized to minimize conflicts related to generational differences
  • List several skills that can be useful in a conflict negotiation between partners in a medical practice
