Episode 51: Rhinitis Practice Parameter Update
This is a recorded episode of the AAAAI podcast series, Conversations from the World of Allergy. The host, Dr. David Stukus, interviews Mark Dykewicz, MD FAAAAI about the major topic areas of the 2020 Practice Parameter update for rhinitis. Dr. Dykewicz discusses the rhinitis phenotypes and the parameters to consider for proper diagnosis of rhinitis. Drs. Stukus and Dykewicz explore various treatment options, including general oral and intranasal antihistamines, allergen immunotherapy treatment, and montelukast. Additionally, Dr. Dykewicz shares information about effective combinations of medications for specific symptoms or rhinitis and the use of alternative remedies and treatments.
