Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:
- Discuss the appropriate evaluation to diagnose FPIES and discuss the various dietary and other treatment options
- Discuss the clinical hallmarks of eosinophilic esophagitis, the appropriate laboratory evaluation to diagnose eosinophilic esophagitis and discuss the various current and emerging treatment options
- Discuss the underlying mechanism by which food contribute to various common ailments and how to best educate patients and families
- Discuss patient selection, patch test selection, patch test interpretation and patient education while developing a successful patch testing program in a practice
- Identify systemic illnesses via recognition of common dermatologic manifestations and associated signs and symptoms
- Identify common dermatologic disorders that are likely to present at the allergist’s office
