The 2025 TAAIS Annual Meeting, spanning three half-days, will offer state-of-the-art advances in allergic, asthmatic and immunologic diseases. Nationally renowned experts from across the U.S. will engage the practicing allergist/immunologist and discuss the most challenging problems in patients with allergies, asthma and immunodeficiencies. In addition, Allergy fellows-in-training will provide a first-hand snapshot of the exciting allergy/immunology research going on in the State of Texas.
The target audience for this meeting is healthcare professionals practicing in the field of allergy/immunology including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, PhDs and PharmDs.

  • Describe diagnosis and evaluation of the patient with anaphylaxis
  • Explain how to recognize overlap of anaphylaxis and mast cell disorders
  • Describe current and novel treatment options for anaphylaxis
  • Discuss the genetic basis for hereditary alpha-tryptasemia
  • Identify the clinical significance of an elevated BST when HaT is absent
  • Recognize the association between alpha-tryptase over-expression and mast cell-mediated symptoms
  • Understand the proposed mechanistic basis for this association
  • Interpret the results of new and existing diagnostic tests for insect sting allergy
  • Recognize clinical and laboratory markers of risk for severe reactions to stings
  • Recommend the most appropriate dose, regimen and duration for VIT
  • Explain the various presentations of contact dermatitis
  • Discuss the role of patch testing and practical aspects of emerging and important allergens
  • Identify clinical and administrative strategies for patch testing in the allergy practice
  • Discuss the 2025 coding updates pertinent to Allergy and Immunology
  • Explain challenges with collections and denials
  • Describe how to manage prior authorizations
  • Describe how to apply and learn a nationally recognized, evidence-based communication framework that attendees can employ in their personal practice and in their roles as a clinician-educators in real-time clinical settings
  • Discuss how to combat physician burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and sense of achievement), and improve self-efficacy in performing and teaching difficult conversations via effective communication skills training
  • Discuss the communication framework to navigate tough conversations with ease, find more meaning in your work, provide care that aligns with your patients’ values, and connect with a larger mission of culture change
  • Explain how to select appropriate tests for diagnosing food allergy
  • Discuss the interpretation of tests for diagnosing food allergy
  • Discuss emerging tests in food allergy to predict severity, threshold and prognosis
  • Explain the therapies that are currently available for food allergies
  • Incorporate the notion of allergen threshold in therapeutic decision-making
  • Discuss food allergy therapies that are emerging and in research
