Virtual Patient: Young Child with Allergy to Grass Pollen

This course provides a case simulation that involves evaluation and management of a young child with seasonal allergic rhinitis with allergen immunotherapy (AIT). The benefits and risks of AIT in general in the context of a young child will be reviewed, and a summary of AIT literature supporting best practices will be provided.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the benefits and risks/harms of Allergen Immunotherapy (AIT) in childhood

  • Explain necessary follow-up treatment
