2023 AAAAI Leadership Institute Course

The Leadership Institute Course will be held on Friday, February 24th, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This course, organized by the AAAAI Leadership Institute, aims to foster new leaders among the AAAAI. This year's agenda consists of a series of presentations that explore different career paths for A/Is, leadership discovery and coaching, and mentorship/sponsorship. The 2023 Course will also include an interactive exercise: The PACE Color Palette, that works to identify communication styles and provides insight into effective communication strategies.

Registration is limited.

Target Audience

  • A/I Physicians
  • Allied Health Practitioners
  • AAAAI members and Fellows who currently hold a AAAAI leadership position (e.g. Assembly, Committee and Interest Section Chairs, Vice Chairs, or Secretaries)
  • General committee members who are interested in moving to the next level of leadership in the AAAAI.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should:

  • Be able to describe the structure and function of AAAAI
  • Be able to describe the role of professional coaching within career development, how to utilize coaching, and how to identify a coaching match
  • Be familiar with different allergy/immunology career pathways, including traditional and non-traditional careers
  • Be able to describe the role of mentorship and sponsorship in career development, the differences between the two, and the importance of both in successful career growth.
