CME Overview

The AAAAI certifies a variety of continuing education activities for credit each year. These include both live meetings and print and online enduring materials. Some are developed by the AAAAI, and several are completed through joint efforts with academic institutions, lay and non-profit organizations, and the Regional, State and Local Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Societies (RSLAAIS).

If you are planning a continuing education activity, we welcome you to apply to the AAAAI to certify your program for credit. The AAAAI is accredited to provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for physicians by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and nursing hours by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CBRN). Your activity must meet these organizations’ requirements in order to be certified by the AAAAI.

For more information on these requirements and to view the AAAAI needs assessment and practice gaps document and AAAAI policies, please review the links and documents on the Planning Resources section below.

The fee for accreditation through AAAAI is $2500.00 and payment is required once your initial application has been received and the AAAAI has agreed that the program is eligible for accreditation.

To assure complete processing an application in time for an event be sure to submit application no fewer than 120 days before the activity start date.  The earlier the better!!!
