TAM: Shared Decision Making

In this meeting, the first in a series of four, Patricia Marik, PhD, from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin will discuss the skills needed for interaction with asthma patients and their families, focusing on shared decision making as a motivation for improved adherence.

Target Audience

Teach Asthma Management (TAM) is an interactive seminar intended for healthcare providers including but not limited to:

  • physicians
  • advanced practice providers
  • nurses
  • respiratory therapists
  • pharmacists

  • Describe two shared decision-making techniques that can be used to motivate patients/patient families toward improved adherence

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of AAAAI and Fight Asthma Milwaukee Allies. The AAAAI is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
