In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, a rapidly changing healthcare landscape has been marked by the adoption of digital health technologies and clinical practice transformation. To ensure that healthcare providers and practices keep pace with the evolving healthcare system, and even play a role in the adoption and implementation of user-centered technologies, a fundamental knowledge of needs-based innovation in the biodesign processes is necessary.
