This is a recorded episode of the AAAAI podcast series, Conversations from the World of Allergy. The host, Dr. David Stukus, will interview Drew Bird, MD FAAAAI regarding oral food challenges (OFCs). This is a timely conversation, as the updated Work Group Report on conducting OFCs was released in January 2020. The episode will provide foundational information about OFCs as well as practical considerations for performing office-based OFCs, including preparing to administer OFCs, selecting challenge foods, and counselling patients pre- and post-OFC. Dr. Bird, who served as first author, also discusses specific updates made in in the 2020 OFC Work Group Report.
