2022 TAAIS Annual Meeting

April 8, 2022 to April 20, 2022


The 2022 TAAIS Annual Meeting, spanning three half-days, will offer state-of-the-art advances in allergic, asthmatic and immunologic diseases. Nationally renowned experts from across the U.S. will engage the practicing allergist/immunologist and discuss the most challenging problems in patients with allergies, asthma and immunodeficiencies. In addition, Allergy fellows-in-training will provide a first-hand snapshot of the exciting allergy/immunology research going on in the State of Texas. Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the prognosis and management of patients with allergic reactions to COVID vaccination
  • Recognize new syndromes of anaphylaxis and the application of new guidelines
  • List ways to improve staff morale and productivity.
  • Explain the general principles of food allergy immunotherapy, describe the pros and cons of undergoing food allergy immunotherapy, and discuss the future of food allergy immunotherapy
  • Discuss recent evidence regarding the use of biologics in the management of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps
  • Explain the goals of sinus surgery and evaluate sinus surgery completeness
  • Describe the criteria for selection of patients that will benefit from asthma biologics
  • Explain the changes in 2021 and 2022 in the practice management landscape
  • Select the best asthma guidelines to follow for optimal patient care
  • Discuss the emerging therapies for eosinophilic esophagitis
  • Explain the diagnosis of granulomatous and lymphocytic interstitial lung disease (GLILD)

5.    Return to the online meeting site after the meeting and complete the post-test, if required. You must achieve a score of 70% or higher on post-tests to claim credit.
6.    Complete the activity evaluation.
7.    Claim your credits. Enter only the number of credits earned based on your participation in the activity.
