Allied Health members are strongly encouraged to register and take advantage of The Life Spectrum of Asthma: Online.

The incidence and prevalence of asthma has increased considerably in recent years. Asthma is not a single disease, and its expression, remission, progression, and severity can vary based on age and gender. Therefore, it is crucial for allergist/immunologists, as specialists in the diagnosis and management of asthma, to understand how to select the most appropriate patients for the use of immune response modifiers and how to assess and manage the risk-benefit ratio of treatment. The Life Spectrum of Asthma: Online provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of how to do exactly that, by incorporating cutting-edge science and discussion of newly and soon-to-be approved biologic therapies.

The program consists of four modules that were purposefully designed to cover the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment over the entire life spectrum of asthma, including:

  1. Asthma Inception and Progression
  2. Reducing and/or Eliminating Asthma Exacerbations
  3. Preventing and Treating Severe Asthma
  4. Asthma and COPD Overlap Syndrome (ACOS)

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology designates this enduring material for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for the completion of each module or 8.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for the completion of all four.
