The Practice of Food Allergy (Virtual Meeting)

This virtual food allergy meeting will allow participants to increase their knowledge and skills related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of food allergic patients, with special focus on non-IgE-mediated food allergy and nutrition, psycho-social and practice management aspects. It will highlight the latest evidence related to food allergies and will include a combination of lectures and interactive panel discussions to prepare participants to provide optimal care to these patients.

This event will be available live via Zoom on October 20, as well as recorded.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Translate the approved guidelines for food allergy prevention into practice
  • Apply evidence-based decision-making to the diagnosis of food allergic patients
  • Identify and apply treatment options currently available for patients with food allergies, as well as discuss future treatment alternative
  • Implement evidence-based strategies for the management of non-IgE-mediated food allergy
  • Implement processes in practice to address the nutritional and psychosocial aspects of food allergy
  • Prepare your practice for the implementation of food allergy treatments, including OIT administration and evaluation and the implementation of early peanut introduction
