AAAAI QCDR for Practice Improvement 2017

The AAAAI Quality Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) can now be used to satisfy the quality improvement requirement (Part IV) of the ABAI’s Maintenance of Certification program. Registry participants can use their performance data to complete this practice improvement module and earn 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™.

HOW? You MUST be registered as an active AAAAI QCDR participant who is utilizing the registry for MIPS reporting. This requires a registration fee ($500 yearly for members and $650 yearly for non-members) and verification of your NPI/TIN within the registry. Visit the AAAAI QCDR for more information and to register.

  1. Once you have uploaded your patient data to the QCDR you will generate your performance report and save it to your desktop.
  2. Upload your performance report as one of the steps in this practice improvement module.
  3. Follow the module’s instructions to develop a personalized improvement plan based on the results of your performance report. The goal is to enhance patient care in the measures you chose.
  4. Complete your improvement plan.  You must allow at least 30 days to complete this step.
  5. Return to the AAAAI QCDR to enter new patient data and download a new performance report (for the same quality measures selected at first) which you will upload into the practice improvement module.
  6. Finally, analyze how your performance on the measures has changed by comparing your two performance reports.

Note: The report analysis (step 6) must be fully completed by Dec 31st, 2017 in order to satisfy the practice assessment/quality improvement requirement for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology’s Maintenance of Certification (ABAI MOC) program for 2017.

For AAAAI QCDR users uploading data for MIPS reporting, data must be uploaded by the CMS submission deadline of February 28, 2018.

There are 28 quality measures available in the registry that are relevant to allergy/immunology care, including Asthma, Allergen Immunotherapy, Drug Allergy, Sinusitis, and General Care.  See the AAAAI QCDR measures list and specification at www.aaaai.org/qcdr
