3702: When, How and What to Feed: Practical Approach to Infants at High Risk for Food Allergy

This seminar will highlight the collaboration between an allergist/immunologist and a registered dietician when approaching infant patients who may be at risk for development of food allergy. The discussion leaders will highlight the identification of infants at risk for food allergy, how to safely and appropriately implement early allergen introduction, and demonstrate how this information can be best provided to parents and caregivers.

Credit claiming for this activity will be available through December 31, 2021. Requests to claim credit on or after January 1, 2022 will be subject to an administrative fee.

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize infants at high risk for development of food allergy

  • Identify pitfalls and challenges with early introduction in high risk infants and develop strategies to provide personalized diagnostic and dietary interventions
