Fall 2015 Symposium of the Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology
This is a live event taking place on September 26, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
The purpose of this activity is to provide board certified allergists and nurses who work in the allergy field with information on topics that promote best practices among clinicians.
To complete this activity the following must be completed in order:
- Register with LAS-AACI by sending an email to [email protected].
- Register with the AAAAI by clicking on 'Take Course' below.
- Complete the CME Info and Pre-test prior to attending the symposium.
- Attend the symposium and sign in at the registration desk.
- After the symposium, return to the AAAAI activity page and complete the post-test and evaluation to claim credit.
Credit must be claimed by June 30, 2016. Any credit request on or after July 1, 2016 will be subject to an administrative fee.

- Discuss the novel diagnostic test for food allergy
- Define the role of immunotherapy for food allergy
- Describe the new developments in FPIES
New Treatment Modalities for Atopic Dermatitis
- Discuss current management of patients with atopic dermatitis based on an understanding of the Atopic Dermatitis Practice Parameter
- Recognize reasons for treatment failure in patients diagnosed with atopic dermatitis
- Understand the rationale for developing new treatment modalities based on new research insights
Management of Patients with Multiple Food Allergies
- Define multiple drug allergy syndrome
- Discuss the role of skin testing in patients with drug hypersensitivity reactions
- Describe the evaluation and management of multiple drug allergy syndrom

- Describe early life exposures that modify the risk of developing allergic diseases and asthma in childhood
- Understand time-dependent effects of exposures on the risk of childhood allergy and asthma
