Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to

  • interpret 24 hour urinary leukotriene E4 (LTE4) levels in the evaluation of patients with rhinitis, sinusitis, and asthma 
  • recognize the relationship of increased 24 hour urinary leukotriene E4 (LTE4) levels to aspirin sensitivity and nasal polyps 
  • demonstrate a better understanding of how to conduct and evaluate an environmental intervention studies
  • determine how multifaceted indoor allergen avoidance measures reduce asthma controller therapy in patients with persistent asthma sensitized and exposed to at least one indoor allergen
