Healthcare practitioners work in a culturally diverse medical system. The ability to effectively communicate with patients of all backgrounds is essential.  This interactive course focused on improving methods of cross-cultural communications in patients of varied backgrounds, addressing topics including: health literacy, interacting with patients who speak English as a second language, understanding culturally-based illness representations, providing patient-centered care in diverse population, and understanding and overcoming implicit basis. 

The American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) has approved this activity for 3.00 MOC Part II Self-Assessment credits.  These credits will be awarded once you have completed the post-course assessment.
