Most allergists describe their experience stepping into the role of Program Director as being like waking up in the cockpit of a 737 and being told they are now the pilot. It can be overwhelming with new lingo, young trainees with very different strengths and weaknesses, and very new role as a medical educator. This orientation is created to highlight the most important items that you should learn early on.
