CME/CE Overview
The AAAAI develops and certifies a variety of continuing medical education (CME) activities for credit. It is accredited to provide AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ for physicians by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and continuing education (CE) hours for nurses by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CBRN). Your activity must meet these organizations’ requirements in order to be certified by the AAAAI.
Instructions
Members can propose a new AAAAI educational activity by submitting an Educational Activity Proposal below. (Note: external organizations seeking accreditation of their educational activities should use this form.) The proposal can only be accessed by individuals who are logged into the AAAAI Continuing Education Center. If you are not logged in, please click 'login' in the red message bar, above.
The timeline for submitting a proposal and receiving a response regarding its status depend on the type of activity:
- All CME activity types, except for online courses and micro courses, can be proposed at any time and will be reviewed by the Continuing Certification & Professional Education (CCPE) Committee, who will consider the proposal's subject matter and relevance to the AAAAI's current needs assessment. Submitters can typically expect to receive a response regarding the status of their proposal within 4 weeks of submission.
- Online course proposals (1-2 hours) and micro course proposals (30 minutes or less) can only be submitted during our annual open call for proposals. The next call will run October 1, 2024 – November 15, 2024. Proposals will then be reviewed by the Office of Medical Education (OME) and notifications regarding selection will be made in March 2025.
Please use the Planning Resources section below to assist you with your proposal.
