Designing a Highly Effective Session for the AAAAI Annual Meeting: The Nuts and Bolts of Instructional Design
This webinar will provide tools for instructors to optimize their planning of interactive and engaging sessions for the AAAAI Virtual Annual Meeting. The workshop will describe the utility of instructional design and provide a framework for it, inclusive of Gagne’s nine events of instruction. It will also discuss the process of creating “SMART” learning objectives, and participants will have the opportunity to refine drafted learning objectives for their upcoming sessions at the AAAAI Annual Meeting.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Draft a lesson plan following general guidelines of instructional design, including the elements of goals, needs assessment, objectives, methods, evaluations and feedback
- Include elements of Gagne’s Events of Instruction throughout the lesson plan
- Design SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) learning objectives for upcoming sessions at the AAAAI Annual Meeting

AAAAI Disclosure Policy
Pursuant to the Code of Ethics for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) and the Standards for Commercial Support of Continuing Medical Education of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the AAAAI requires disclosure of certain information from faculty members of educational activities designated for CME credit by the AAAAI.
